Our story
When founder Sophie van Haalen was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast cancer she was just 36, a seemingly healthy, busy mum of two young boys with a thriving career in tourism marketing.
Life was quickly turned on its head undergoing a year of intense treatment including chemotherapy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy… Sparkle Therapy was soon dreamt up with a vision to spark joy for other patients enduring cancer treatment.
Inspired by the kindness her family received during treatment, Sophie combined her passion for creating memorable experiences with her own journey to give uplifting moments to other families.

We also understand that cancer impacts the entire family, that’s why we extend experiences to immediate family members and primary carers, to bring a little joy and respite knowing the impact reaches the whole family.
